Build Good Habits From Young Age.

I'm sure you're aware that skin care is important. It's not just about looking good, it's also about taking care of your body and health.

But did you know that the way you take care of your skin starts at a young age?

The good news is that you can start building good habits early on. Here are some tips:

Start early! You might think that taking care of your skin doesn't really matter until you're older, but that's not true at all. The earlier you start building good habits, the better off you'll be in the long run.

Think about your skin! Don't just slap on whatever moisturizer or sunscreen happens to be sitting by your sink — think about what kind of products will work best for your skin type (dry, oily) and consider how much time you want to spend on getting ready each day. Remember that there are products designed especially for teens' needs — like acne treatments and sunscreens with SPF 50+.

Too much make up.

I used to be a lot different than I am now. I used to panic about my skin as a high school student and would wear so much makeup to school my face was almost unrecognizable. It took a lot of time to realize that the more I worked on accepting myself, the more comfortable with myself I got. Soon enough the makeup started to become less and less of a necessity and eventually became unnecessary.

Start early.

Whether it's acne, redness or combination, you know how hard it can be to find a good skin care routine. But if you start early enough, your skin will soon look and feel great!

It's essential to follow the 3 steps routine: cleanse (wash your skin), tone  (balance your skin), moisturise (hydrate and soften your skin).

Moreover, you should keep your skin and your body hydrated. Drinking water hydrates your body from inside out.

Love

Accept yourselves and show self love! It's easy for teens to feel insecure about their looks because other people are constantly comparing themselves to others (and let's face it: social media makes this even worse). But no matter what size or shape or color or style, you should accept yourself. So many people spend their lives trying to "fix" their skin—but the truth is, it's not a fixable problem. You can't just do an overnight mask or a few weeks of serum-a-day and wake up looking like Kim K. But you can start building healthy habits from young age that will help your skin stay smooth, glowing and wrinkle-free into your golden years.

To sum up

Start now! Start by accepting yourself as you are right now, and showing yourself some self love—because that's how we all get through life: by giving ourselves the love we deserve first.
